In this workshop you will learn how to make appliques of the elements in the sample quilt in the shop. This workshop is for those of you who want to increase your knowledge of different techniques used to create an art quilt. There will be patterns for those of you who want to create a quilt like my sample that is on display. Some non-traditional elements were used to create texture along with quilting.

This sturdy, standalone bag is strong enough to carry a lot of things. It is made using 10" squares like Layer Cakes or a variety of 9 1/2" fabric strips sewn on fusible, foam batting to form interfaced strips that are then zigzagged together. You will need a sewing machine that can sew through several layers of fabric. You will also need a walking foot. Be sure to pick up the supply list and pattern when you sign up for the class. This is a 2-day class.

For all of you that would love to learn to sew, this is the class for you! In this 4-week series we will complete 3 projects; a pillow case, pajama pants, and a tote bag as you learn to use your sewing machine.
