In this workshop, you will create a quilt like the sample in the shop. You will collage batik fabric that are the best choice for this project. Fusing is used to create your swan and applied to a background fabric. I will supply the pattern and face for the swan if you choose to create a quilt like mine. If you have a particular bird that you want to create, bring a pattern blown up to the size you want to make your bird and I will help you create it. This workshop creates a beautifully quilted wall hanging.

In this workshop, you will learn how to cut fabrics to create a palette of color to create your landscape piece. Students will bring a photo of a landscape that they want to create in fiber to class. This embroidered quilt is an Amanda Murphy pattern designed for those sewing/embroidery machines that can accommodate a 12.5" block. It is not designed for the beginning machine embroiderer but for those individuals who understand their machine and love to machine embroider. The embroidered motifs can be cut two ways. The class has been designed to provide information and demonstration without taking your machine to class. If the class decides to have a sit and sew, you will be required to take your sewing/embroidery machine to class. The last class is designed to sew all your blocks together so a smaller sewing machine will work. You might even have time to layer and begin to quilt this beautiful quilt. When your quilt is finished you will have a masterpiece to be proud of.
